As part of a robust system of performance and program evaluation, the ECRA Value Added Growth Model can provide a valuable quantitative element to holistic assessment of faculty by calculating a "teacher effect" in terms of the difference between a teacher's predicted class average and their actual class average. More importantly, the data generated can be applied in a myriad of ways that improve instructional programming, including identifying effective instructional and assessment strategies, determining needs in the area of professional growth, and celebrating effective teachers. The model is both formative and summative in nature, providing the Local Education Agencies an opportunity to identify local "best practices" and replicate them across content areas, grades, and schools.  View our teacher evaluation information.
