Though writing has been eliminated from the ISAT testing program, Illinois’ new assessment system, due in 2014, includes multiple constructed response and writing-based performance assessments in both English language arts and mathematics. ECRA can develop performance assessment tools and data reporting that not only assess student preparedness with the kinds of thinking and literacy skills assessed by the new statewide testing system but also help districts adapt and improve their instructional programming in advance of the new assessments.

Writing is the means by which your students demonstrate core knowledge and skills--make it an essential component of your assessment portfolio for and of learning. ECRA Group can design, deliver, and evaluate assessments of your students’ writing abilities and help you use performance data to inform and improve personnel and programming.
